Born and raised in Tennessee fandom, Adam Haley has bled orange his entire life. He is the Director of Sports Media/Assistant Athletic Director for Communications at Lincoln Memorial University and is a Railsplitter through and through. He is "the voice of the Railsplitters" calling games on television and radio. However, his love for Tennessee athletics knows no bounds.

"I grew up a Tennessee fan. It was all I ever knew. My father was a huge Tennessee fan and that's how I became a fan. We watched Tennessee football and basketball, and that it how it all kind of started.

When you're growing up, a lot of young men want to be just like their fathers. I wanted to be like mine. He was a huge fan. Any time there was a touchdown or something like that, there were always high-fives and hugs and whatnot. It was a very bonding experience.

My father used to have a large piece of artificial turf from the field that hung behind his chair where he would sit and watch games. Before every game, as the team was running through the 'T,' we all had to come up and touch the piece of artificial turf. That was our good luck charm. It now hangs in my house, and if there's ever a time I feel like we need a little bit of extra luck, I'll go touch the turf. This year in game three of the College World Series, as the game was getting late, I actually went over and put my hand on the turf for a little bit of luck.

The trajectory of the athletics department at Tennessee right now is straight up. They're coming off of the first national title in baseball, the basketball team makes the Elite 8 for only the second time in history and has become a household name seemingly every season and constantly in the top 25, the football team is the bread and butter and are constantly being talked about.

They're now being discussed as a potential playoff team and talked about in a positive manner all the time. It's not just those three sports either; it's everything. Everyone benefits from each team doing well, and it starts at the top with Danny White. This is an athletic department that is doing an exceptional job. I feel like Doug Dickey and Danny White are the two best in my lifetime. Danny White has the athletic department humming like a well-oiled machine.
