Knoxville, TN -- Tennessee returns to the historic confines of Neyland Stadium on Saturday, Sep 19, for an exciting home matchup against the Kennesaw State Owls, scheduled for a 7:45 kick and televised nationwide on the SEC Network. The Volunteers head into this contest carrying plenty of momentum following a dominant victory over Georgia Tech. In that impressive outing, Tennessee outgained their opponents 447 total yards to 356, asserting control through a powerful ground game that racked up 299 rushing yards on 45 attempts while maintaining spotless ball security with zero fumbles lost.

This weekend's game features a familiar face on the opposing sideline, as Kennesaw State head coach Jerry Mack returns to Knoxville. Mack previously served on the Tennessee coaching staff as the running backs coach from 2021 to 2023. Last season, he led the Owls to a historic campaign, directing the program to a 10-4 record and a Conference USA championship before appearing in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

Quarterback Faizon Brandon has quickly captured attention for the Volunteers with exceptional maturity, poise, and remarkable ball security through his first two career starts. Displaying a veteran-like calmness in the pocket, Brandon has navigated high-pressure moments seamlessly, protecting the football and making sharp decisions that keep the chains moving and the offense operating at a high efficiency.

Through the air, Brandon targeted wide receiver Radarious Jackson who hauled in crucial receptions, alongside tight end Ethan Davis and wide receiver Braylon Staley, propelling the Volunteers to a decisive 45 to 24 triumph.

On the other side of the ball, Tennessee showcased relentless defensive pressure that completely disrupted the opposing game plan.
